I strongly believe that one can only grow beyond oneself if one works towards a higher goal. During project work this higher goal is the project’s success. There is no room left for personal preferences or satisfaction of ego.

– Phillip Gadhir

Beautiful clarity in the presentation given by Phillip Gadhir on REST based architecture used in one of the projects. Completely enjoyed watching it yesterday.ย  Although some aspects related to B2B interface interaction were not detailed in it.

This year one of the learning’s that I have had is how important it is to create positive memories of one’s own self everyday.Often experiences with people who lack integrity leaves oneself with a bitter taste of life and one strives for something more meaningful and fulfilling in knowing things.

So if every action turns into monument into our subconscious, then it is needed that with courage one does things that are be remembered as the happy moments of past. (Of course its important to be in present and take its complete taste).

With this learning in perspective and inspiration from the Divine, I happened to take part in the rangoli competition held in my organization spontaneously on the second last day because there was no team and no design in hand and things were in danger state. To help the team out, I made the complete design in mspaint and after making it – completely fell for it ๐Ÿ™‚ desired to be part to its implementation – to see your design in reality done – is like see your own child creation , its completely joyous.

And with the simple intent of just doing it for the sake of doing it, I took the plunge and enjoyed every moment of its making, including procuring colors , all variety of materials and all the discussions related to which color should go in which part of the design. The best part of making rangoli is that it opens me up just like a handle to freedom of expression. I guess every artistic feels that after completing his work – as though part of his own self has been just taken out of him and given a new identity of its own. And as an added sweet touch , our team was awarded for it as well ! : – ).

I wish in this lifetime, if I could see the creation and manifestation of life, in a similar fashion.

Colors are the essence of life, especially vegetables, trees, flowers and sky reflect the living beauty that continues to fascinate me, every moment , every day.

Naturally aligned

Being perfect, is related to aligning onself to the natural order of living which on the outer surface appears to be very chaotic. The beauty is – if this alignment is not forced on oneself, by being aggressive, or excessively contemplative but just becoming naturally so – as if it were inside oneself to be perfectly in rhyme with the tunes life sings – inside the body, in the thoughts and all the expressions.

That can only happen after an inner transformation. Forced discipline – though delivers results but does not help in enjoying the path towards the goal. Nature lives in this harmony of unforced discipline – like for example, the birds rise every day on time (Hey have you heard of a bird sleeping till 9 – after sleeping late at night at around 12…. :)) and it is in understanding and being one with this energy around that peaceful and joyous solutions to our own self discipline lies.

Why seek this? – It is in this order of being that we discover mysteries of life. And see ourselves as children again in the eyes of the universe.

Realize that life is sacred and has ultimate meaning

Itโ€™s easy to control . You just need to be aware.

Itโ€™s easy to be aware. Stop doing extra useless things.

Discipline is the key toย achievement.

What percentage of reality is relative and percentage of it is absolute ?
That I am alive is absolute โ€“ Non existence would have implications of non-knowing?.

That what I am doing and thinking and feeling is a relative thing โ€“ having zero significance in the existence of mankind. However, my actions have absolute impact on state of my being which in turn impacts my ability to know the truth.

So at this point it is important to understand what is that I mean by absolute and relative.

Absolute : Unchanged . In one state always. With high significance in existence.

Relative : Changing, with low significance in existence. Low impact.

What is the purpose of knowing the distinction between the two โ€“ for each minor activity one performs? Maybe it can be used to filter out those that are non significant.

Googly : intellect leads me to the point where I realize I am biting my own tail and going round and round in circles. Either traversing from left to right or right to left. โ€“ it leaves me back to the point where I last started โ€“ but with the understanding that โ€œthis is not the way I can growโ€

The concept of โ€I-nessโ€ is critical to spiritual growth. Assertion / denial / or deprecating self / self improvement activities etc/ are again making the same circles โ€“ all of them โ€“ and the whole point is to look beyond the circle of my own existence.

So, in a way you need to be detached from your I-Ness. That is possible by being attached something that you value more than your I? It is then upto you โ€“ the seeker to decide โ€“ what you consider precious and put all the attention on that living force that helps you just jump out of your โ€œIโ€.

Words never do justice โ€“ in these matters โ€“ that is truth, but atleast they act as pointers to places and learnings that we have had. There are few riders on the path of freedom and obstacles are infinite, but there is a strong reason for moving on โ€“ on this path โ€“ because without that โ€“ there is no meaning to existence at all left.

And that we know โ€“ that life is precious and there is a profound meaning in this mundane existence.

Islamic burials require mourners to throw in three handfuls of dirt while uttering in Arabic, a small prayer:

โ€œFrom it We created you and

into it We return you and

from it We resurrect you.โ€

the dot you wish to be,
– Is knotted to the i.
dispel the dot from the i,
– and Plant it in the Sky.
Feel the breadth of existence,
Growing by and by.

Wishing to be
Starry dots in the Sky,
Humming lullabies,
To a world rushing by.
